  • Why We Need to Embrace RADICAL SELF-LOVE For Better Health.

    RADICAL SELF-LOVE TIME.

Why a positive body image is so important for weight loss.

What is radical self-love?In this last “bonus episode” to close up my mini-series on “My Top 10 Weight Loss Mistakes and How I’m Fixing Them” I’m talking about the importance of RADICAL SELF-LOVE- cultivating an authentic self-love situation for our bodies. We are TOO hard on ourselves and often hold ourselves up to unrealistic expectations that cause an undue amount of stress. That stress is what can often impede if not prohibit our weight loss progress. Let’s stop the madness and start practicing radical self-love. This is a departure from anything most of us have done but it’s so worth it: the more we pour into ourselves, the more we can show up for others and the more we can perform in everything we WANT to do in life. It’s so true.

  • How to stop hating your body and develop a healthy and POSITIVE body image.

How to develop a POSITIVE body image with Tina Muir.

Tina Muir is a pro runner and host of the Run to the Top podcast. She didn’t like running before and once shied away from any sort of running activity. When she did start running, she was initially embarrassed and ran in the dark. She mostly blogs about running but she also blogs about body image and shares it’s normal to have some sort of insecurity since even the most perfect of bodies are owned by people who have hidden struggles.
Today Tina will talk about her fitness journey and the reason she started her blogs especially on the topic of body image.
“Those airbrushed magazines aren’t reality, but what is reality is what we are actually feeling even though only a few people will admit it.” Tina Muir
    In this episode, you’ll learn:
    • Tina not only shares her running stories but also her struggles. She says sharing her struggles allow people to relate to her and somehow feel good that they’re not alone.
    • Talked a lot about weight and how she viewed herself. She insists that she’s not perfect and those air-brushed magazines aren’t reality.
    • We have different shapes and sizes but it’s so hard not to compare yourself with other people especially since social media always shows us the best pictures of people who have flaws too.
    • People like to workout because they like to eat.
    • Started with not being able to exercise 6 minutes without stopping now she can do 15 minutes straight because she trained her body that way.
    Key Takeaways:
    • We all have a different approach to health and wellness. We need to stop segregating amongst ourselves.
    • Restricting yourself on food you want might make you feel down and overindulged since you’re trying to fill a void.
